Big Band Music is one of the staples of America’s cultural history—but did you know that Framingham was a place where some of the biggest names in the genre would gather?

Legendary artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, and Frank Sinatra all made their way to the Maridor, which once stood right along Route 9.

We wanted to learn more about the city’s part in this music’s legacy.
